What a night!

So great to see so many people online, supporting this work and mature dance in general.

Online Premiere - Saturday 9 October 2021

Thank you to all who came to view the online premiere of Firebird. Of the 263 registrations, more than 170 attended the online zoom introductions and acknowledgments by our lovely host, Shweta Kawatra. 110 of those returned to zoom for the Q&A facilitated by Julie Dyson AM.

In less than 24 hours, 419 people have viewed the work during its limited release period.

Many thanks to Shannon Parsons, my co-producer, for sorting out the Eventbrite bookings, arranging the zoom, sending out the mailchimp and posting the social media updates to Facebook, plus creating those 5 lovely mini-documentaries that told of the dancers’ experiences in bite sized chunks. Without this significant support by these three women, the event would not have been nearly so successful.
